Building out a Pokémon display just got slightly cheaper for collectors tracking down official brick sets. Amazon trimmed $13 off the 2,050-piece Pikachu and Poké Ball construction kit on Monday, taking the price tag down to $186.99 against its typical $199.99 retail tag when IGN reported the markdown.

While a 6.5 percent discount is hardly a clearance fire sale, the reduction marks the lowest price recorded so far at the online retailer for this specific build. Prices across major retail storefronts change quickly, and the listing was active at that price point on Monday afternoon.

Lego introduced the massive build in February as part of the broader merchandising push marking the Pokémon franchise's 30th anniversary. Aimed squarely at adult hobbyists rather than young kids, the box contains 2,050 elements that snap together into a large-scale yellow mouse and an accompanying red-and-white capsule.

The set lets builders pick between two distinct presentations once finished. You can arrange Pikachu in a calmer stance, sitting directly beside an intact sphere. Alternatively, you can assemble the character mid-jump as if bursting free from an unlatched container.

Opting for that dynamic mid-air leap requires snapping together an energetic display stand. The yellow base mimics a sharp lightning crack, appropriately matching the creature's Electric typing. Lego also tucked an Easter egg directly into the baseplate, shaping the number "25" out of standard studs to highlight Pikachu's entry slot in the Kanto Pokédex. Both ears and limbs feature jointed points of articulation, allowing minor posture tweaks once placed on a shelf.

Reviewing the kit shortly after its winter debut, IGN's Jada Griffin described the assembly process as "an incredibly fun build and a wonderful addition to my collection." The intricate part count makes it a multi-hour project rather than an afternoon diversion, which explains the adult-tier price point.

No Indian retail pricing was given for this specific listing, and Amazon's discounted batch in the United States remains subject to stock fluctuations following the markdown.
