Oppo has brought the Enco X4 to India, pricing its newest flagship true wireless earbuds at Rs 19,999 roughly a month after they debuted in China. The earbuds go on sale from October 29 through both online and offline retailers.
The headline change is a dual-driver, dual-DAC setup, an 11mm TRF diaphragm woofer paired with a 6mm planar diaphragm tweeter, each fed by its own digital-to-analog converter so low and high frequencies get processed separately. Oppo built the acoustic tuning with Dynaudio, a partnership now in its seventh year, and the Enco X4 ships with five sound profiles for different genres and listening habits.
This is also Oppo's first stab at wireless lossless audio. Paired with a compatible device like the Oppo Find X10 series, the earbuds use LHDC Lossless to push bitrates up to 2.3Mbps at 24-bit/48kHz. They carry Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification too, and support Cross-Ecosystem Spatial Audio for virtual surround sound across Android, iOS and Windows, so the lossless pitch isn't locked to one phone brand even if the full bitrate needs an Oppo device on the other end.
Noise cancellation gets an overhaul built around a 6nm neural processing unit, new acoustic algorithms, redesigned ear tips meant to sit with less strain, and a triple-microphone array. Oppo's own figures claim ANC performance up to 100% better than the outgoing model, with roughly 30% of that improvement aimed specifically at cutting human speech and vocal frequencies, the kind of noise that usually slips through on buses and flights. Those are Oppo's numbers, not independently verified ones. An AI Real-time Adaptive ANC mode reads ambient sound levels and adjusts cancellation strength on the fly, with presets tuned for transit settings like subways, buses and planes.
Call quality leans on the same three microphones plus a bone-conduction voice pick-up unit, run through what Oppo calls its AI Clear Call algorithm to separate speech from background noise. The earbuds run Bluetooth 6.1 and support dual-device switching across operating systems, useful for anyone bouncing between a work laptop and a phone running a different OS.
Build-wise, the Enco X4 carries an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance. Oppo rates battery life at up to 13 hours of continuous playback on a single charge, stretching to 53 hours total with the charging case, under the company's own standard testing conditions.
At Rs 19,999, the Enco X4 sits in premium TWS territory in India, competing against lossless-capable earbuds from Sony and Samsung that have already staked out that price band. Whether the Dynaudio tuning and the ANC gains hold up outside Oppo's lab numbers will depend on independent testing once units start reaching buyers from October 29.
