Oppo and Apple's newest flagship phones are now sitting on the same shelf in India, and a fresh specifications comparison from Gadgets 360 lines up what separates them on paper.
The Find X10 Pro Max carries a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display running at 1,272 x 2,772 pixels, with a refresh rate that climbs to 144Hz. That's higher than what Apple offers. The iPhone 18 Pro Max sticks with Apple's Super Retina XDR OLED panel at 6.9 inches, using ProMotion to vary the refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz depending on what's on screen, a trick aimed more at battery life than at matching Oppo's peak smoothness.
Under the hood, both phones are chasing the same manufacturing edge. Oppo's handset runs on MediaTek's octa-core Dimensity 9600 Pro, built on a 2nm process. Apple's answer is the A20 Pro, also fabricated at 2nm. Getting two 2nm chips into phones on sale in India in the same month is itself a marker of how fast both MediaTek and Apple's chip partners have moved this generation, since 2nm production has only recently started scaling for mobile silicon.
What the comparison doesn't spell out, at least in what's been published so far, is either phone's price in India. Given that the Find X10 Pro Max and the iPhone 18 Pro Max are both positioned as each brand's top-tier device this cycle, buyers weighing one against the other will want that number before anything else, and it's the obvious gap in an otherwise detailed head-to-head.
Historically, Oppo has used the Find X series to undercut Apple and Samsung on price while matching or beating them on screen specs and charging speed, and the 144Hz panel here fits that pattern. Apple, meanwhile, rarely moves on price for the Pro Max tier year to year, so anyone upgrading from an older iPhone already knows roughly what to expect.
For now, the clearest difference buyers can act on is the display. If a faster refresh rate at native resolution matters more than Apple's adaptive ProMotion tuning, the Find X10 Pro Max's 144Hz AMOLED is the more aggressive spec sheet. If raw screen size and Apple's software ecosystem are the priority, the iPhone 18 Pro Max's 6.9-inch panel and A20 Pro chip make the case instead.
Both phones are already listed as available in India. What's still missing from the public comparison is a side-by-side on camera hardware, battery capacity and charging speed, along with the actual price tags that will decide this matchup for most shoppers. Expect fuller breakdowns, including pricing, to follow as more outlets get both devices in for comparison.
