Qualcomm has offloaded 57.1 lakh shares in listed Indian logistics provider Shadowfax, raising Rs 157.3 crore through an open market bulk transaction on Monday.
Regulatory data from the BSE shows the chipmaker executed the trade through its investment vehicle Qualcomm Asia Pacific Pte Limited at Rs 275.3 per share. That price reflects a 6.6 percent discount compared to Shadowfax’s previous market close. The transaction marks the second time in three months that Qualcomm has trimmed its stake in the Bengaluru-based logistics platform.
Unwinding an Eight-Year Bet
The American chip designer originally backed Shadowfax in 2018, participating in a $22 million Series C funding round alongside Eight Roads Ventures and Mirae Asset. Shadowfax later debuted on public exchanges earlier this year.
By the end of June 2026, Qualcomm Asia Pacific held a 2.26 percent stake comprising 1.32 crore shares. It began locking in returns shortly after, selling 75 lakh shares for Rs 183.9 crore in August. The latest sale offloads another sizeable chunk of those original holdings.
Qualcomm is not the only early investor cashing out. Private equity firm TPG has sold more than Rs 700 crore worth of Shadowfax stock across several bulk transactions since August.
Surging Valuation and Expansion Plans
The institutional exits coincide with a massive run-up in the company's valuation. Shadowfax stock has gained 29.3 percent over the trailing three months and is up 122.91 percent across the last six months.
Underlying financial results have helped drive that rally. Shadowfax posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 65.4 crore for the first quarter of FY27, climbing eightfold from Rs 8 crore during the same window last year. Revenue from operations expanded 65 percent year-on-year to reach Rs 1,358 crore, which prompted management to lift full-year FY27 revenue growth projections to between 38 and 40 percent, up from earlier estimates of 28 to 30 percent.
Founded in 2015 by Abhishek Bansal and Vaibhav Khandelwal, Shadowfax handles deliveries across e-commerce platforms, quick commerce networks, and direct-to-consumer businesses. The firm presently covers 16,372 postal codes in India. It aims to grow its dark store footprint from 47 facilities to 100 locations before March 2027 to capture higher volume from instant grocery deliveries.
Shadowfax shares ended Monday's trading session down 0.12 percent at Rs 294.75 on the BSE.
