Sony's PlayStation DualSense wireless controller in the Rythm Blue edition was listed at $69.99 on Amazon when 9to5Toys reported the price on Monday morning. The discount brings the gamepad close to 20 percent below its regular $85 sticker price, though buyers need to clip an on-page coupon during checkout to see the lower total.
That puts the current price within $6 of its all-time low of roughly $64, marked during its only previous discount.
Sony introduced the Rythm Blue design earlier this year under its Hyperpop collection. The lineup swaps the standard solid-tone housings for bright gradient paint jobs styled after neon lighting. Beyond the visual shift, the Hyperpop variants behave identically to any standard DualSense pad on the market. They carry the same internal haptic motors, adaptive triggers, built-in microphone array, and standard PlayStation layout.
Glossy Finishes and Alternative Retailers
There is one physical catch worth noting before ordering. While standard DualSense gamepads ship with a textured matte shell, the Hyperpop models feature a glossy surface. That shiny coating reflects desk lighting nicely, but it also collects visible fingerprints and palm grease much faster during long play sessions.
Shoppers looking for a different hue will find a smaller markdown over at Walmart. The retailer listed the Techno Red Hyperpop variant at $79.99 shipped on Monday, knocking $5 off the standard retail price.
Buyers building out an audio setup also have a discounted option from the same ecosystem. Sony's PlayStation Pulse Explore wireless earbuds in the Midnight Black colorway remained down at $149 across retailers when the gamepad promotion was reported.
Amazon has not attached a public expiration timer to the on-page coupon for the Rythm Blue pad, so checkout totals could adjust whenever current promotional allocations clear.
