Amazon trimmed pricing across a broad lineup of physical Nintendo Switch 2 software on Monday morning. The price reductions covered upcoming remakes alongside several third-party releases that hit shelves earlier in the console generation.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade dropped to $24.99 on Amazon when 9to5Toys reported the promotion on October 12. That marks a 38 percent drop from its usual $40 sticker price. The outlet noted that the figure matches the console low established during the previous week's Prime Day sales window.
Pre-order cuts also surfaced for two high-profile first-party releases scheduled to arrive shortly. Amazon posted discounts on pre-orders for Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, which launches next week, as well as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. Retail rival Best Buy planned a midnight launch event for physical copies of the Zelda title, though it kept the game at full retail price rather than matching Amazon's discount.
Several other publisher releases saw immediate reductions. Madden NFL 27 was marked down to $43, down from its standard $70 MSRP. Capcom's Resident Evil Requiem Amazon exclusive edition stood at $50 against a regular $70 tag, while Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection fell to $56 from $70.
Role-playing games were part of the price drop as well. Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake was listed at $49, down from $60. Square Enix's Brigandine Abyss: Deluxe Edition hit $41 compared to its normal $50 sticker. Bandai Namco's Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero dropped from $50 down to $37.
Smaller action titles and licensed games followed suit. The Rogue Prince of Persia was available for $25 instead of $30, while SpongeBob: Titans of the Tide dropped to $29 from $40. 2K's WWE 2K26 slid to $30 from $35, and its predecessor WWE 2K25 code-in-box release was down to $15 from $20. WB Games had Hogwarts Legacy sitting at $46 instead of $50, while Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition code-in-box moved to $52 against a normal $60 asking price.
Physical inventory at retail outlets often fluctuates following major sales events. Amazon has not published an official expiration time for the promotional prices or the Zelda pre-order discount.
