Apple has put a festive edition of the AirPods 5 on sale in India for Rs 17,900. The release pairs the standard open-ear model with a custom rangoli design stamped directly onto the wireless charging case, timed for the subcontinent's peak holiday shopping window.
Hardware underneath the lid does not change. Buyers get the same internals as the regular model, which relies on a fresh acoustic build and updated Adaptive EQ tuning. Apple rates its active noise cancellation as up to 1.5 times more capable than the system on the previous model. The buds also keep force stems with swipe controls for volume adjustments, alongside on-device Live Translation running through Apple Intelligence across supported languages.
Charging and Battery Life
The wireless charging case itself provides the visual difference. While the rangoli engraving decorates the exterior plastic shell, the battery and charging hardware match the standard retail unit. With noise cancellation switched on, the case and earbuds combined run for up to 22 hours before needing a plug.
Replenishing power works over a standard Qi wireless pad or an Apple Watch magnetic puck. Apple also builds an alert speaker into the housing base, making pinging lost earbuds via the Find My app audible across a room.
Availability and Festive Discounts
Stock is strictly limited, according to Apple. The festive variant is selling through the official Indian online store, the Apple Store mobile app, and six brick-and-mortar locations across the country.
Physical units are stocked at Apple BKC and Apple Borivali in Mumbai, Apple Saket and Apple Noida in the National Capital Region, Apple Hebbal in Bengaluru, and Apple Koregaon Park in Pune.
Payment promos run alongside the debut. Participating bank cards qualify for instant cashback reaching up to Rs 4,000 on the purchase, alongside zero-interest installment plans spanning six months. Those promotional terms started on October 11 and will remain active through November 11, 2026, across the company's wider festive hardware catalog.
