The next-generation Apple TV 4K is getting its first discount since launch, according to 9to5Mac's weekend Apple deals roundup published Saturday. The outlet did not list an exact sale price for the streaming box itself, but it flagged the markdown as the first time the device has been discounted anywhere.
For anyone who already owns an Apple TV and doesn't need a new box, 9to5Mac pointed to a separate deal on the new Apple TV Siri Remote, listed at $59. The outlet said buying just the remote instead of a full new Apple TV setup works out to a $240 saving, a figure it attributed to comparing the remote's standalone price against the cost of the bundled box-and-remote package.
The roundup also covers Apple's $50 price cut on AirPods Pro 3, which 9to5Mac describes as ongoing rather than new this weekend, and what it calls an all-time low on the second-generation AirTag, though no dollar figure was given for that one either.
On the Mac side, 9to5Mac listed the M6 Mac mini at up to $150 off and multiple M5 Pro MacBook configurations marked down by as much as $600, without specifying which retailers or exact configurations carried those discounts. A current-generation Apple Watch was also listed at $200 on Amazon, per the site.
iPhone Duo trade-in and HomePod mini 2 pre-orders
Apple's new iPhone Duo, which only recently went up for pre-order, does not appear to be discounted directly through Apple, 9to5Mac noted, but Best Buy is offering monthly financing plans and trade-in credit on it. The retailer was offering $1,200 off the total cost of an iPhone Duo for customers trading in an iPhone 17 Pro or iPhone 17 Pro Max, the outlet reported Saturday morning, while cautioning that trade-in values should be confirmed directly with Best Buy before buying.
Separately, Apple's HomePod mini 2 became available for pre-order with double rewards points for Best Buy members, 9to5Mac said, without giving a price for the speaker itself.
Accessory makers piled on too. Burton Goods was offering up to 30% off leather iPhone Duo cases for 9to5Mac readers, Pitaka's aramid fiber iPhone Duo case was listed at half price on Amazon, and Spigen's new iPhone Duo cases started at $27 on Amazon, according to the same roundup.
None of the prices above are guaranteed to hold beyond the weekend. Retailer deals like these typically run for a few days at most, and 9to5Mac's listings reflect what was live when the roundup was published on October 17. Anyone chasing the Apple TV 4K discount, the Siri Remote price or the iPhone Duo trade-in offer should check current pricing directly with Apple, Best Buy or Amazon before checking out.
