Dell XPS 16 Creator Edition with Nvidia RTX Spark N1X chip is now up for pre-order at $3,799.99 in the US — same price as the leaked listing from last week, and $1,000 more than the Asus ProArt P16’s $2,799.99 starting point. It ships October 16. No Indian pricing or availability has been announced. The laptop is the first Dell to ship with Nvidia’s RTX Spark platform, a new architecture built around unified memory and designed for local AI workloads and high-end creative apps. It uses an 18-core N1X chip with 5,120 GPU cores, 32 GB of LPDDR5X unified memory, and a 512 GB PCIe SSD. That’s below RTX Spark’s theoretical ceiling. Up to 20 CPU cores, 6,144 GPU cores, 128 GB unified memory, but matches Dell’s stated configuration. Its 16-inch Tandem OLED touchscreen runs at 3,200 × 2,000, hits 120 Hz with VRR, covers full DCI-P3, and carries Pantone Verification and Delta E < 2. HDR True Black 600 is supported. Though not the 1,600-nit peak of the Asus ProArt P16’s 3,840 × 2,400 panel. At 17.8 mm thick and 2.02 kg, it’s heavier than Asus’s 1.77 kg ProArt P16. Battery is 99 Wh, just shy of Asus’s 99.9 Wh. Ports are generous: three USB4 (with DP 2.1 and PD), HDMI 2.1b, full-size SDXC v7.1 card reader, 3.5 mm jack. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 round out the spec sheet. Dell says it will sell the XPS 16 Creator Edition through its own site too, but only Best Buy currently lists it. And only in that single configuration. No word yet on higher-tier SKUs, nor on pricing for India, Europe or the UK. The RTX Spark platform itself remains unannounced by Nvidia as a branded product line. Notebookcheck treats it as a codename for a new class of chips and system architecture, one that shares memory between CPU and GPU, enabling faster data handoffs for generative AI tools running locally. Asus launched its ProArt P16 globally weeks ago. MSI’s Prestige N16 Flip AI is also confirmed as RTX Spark-based. But no pricing or timing beyond ‘Q4’ has surfaced. Dell’s move locks in the first US retail price for an RTX Spark laptop, and sets a clear premium over the competition. Whether creators pay up for XPS build quality and brand, or go for Asus’s higher-res screen and $1,000 savings, starts October 16.
