Nvidia RTX Spark N1X laptops are shipping now — and they’re built for AI, not AAA gaming. The first model, the HP OmniBook Ultra 16 with the RTX Spark N1X SoC, starts at $3,199.99 in the US and is priced at $4,999.99 for the configuration PCMag tested. In India, it launches at ₹4,29,999, confirmed by HP India’s press release cited by Gadgets 360. Though no local availability date has been announced beyond ‘Q4 2026’. It ships with a 3nm Arm-based chip packing a 6,144-CUDA-core GPU, 256-bit memory interface, and 300GBps peak memory bandwidth. But its thermal design power is capped at 80W, well below the 100W to 150W range of GeForce RTX 5060 and RTX 5080 mobile GPUs used in traditional gaming laptops like the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI and Alienware 16 Area-51. That gap defines what the RTX Spark N1X actually delivers: strong AI inference and content-creation throughput, but only marginal gaming headroom. At 1080p, it couldn’t sustain 60fps in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. While both competing GeForce laptops did, barely. Black Myth: Wukong ran only at 1200p and 1600p (no 1080p support), and even there, performance fell short of the RTX 5060. Cyberpunk 2077 was the sole title from PCMag’s usual benchmark suite that launched without error. F1 2024 failed with ‘no Arm version available’, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III blocked launch due to anti-cheat incompatibility, Nvidia says that fix arrives in 2027. Game publisher partnerships with Capcom, EA, Sega, and Ubisoft are active, but native Arm support remains narrow. The RTX Spark isn’t trying to replace your gaming rig. It’s aiming at developers who train small language models on-device, video editors running real-time diffusion upscaling, or engineers simulating physics in Blender. All while keeping the laptop fan profile quiet enough for a conference room. That’s the trade: raw CUDA count looks competitive on paper, but TDP, architecture, and ecosystem lock the RTX Spark N1X into a distinct lane. You pay $4,999.99 not for frame rates, but for unified memory bandwidth and AI acceleration baked into an Arm silicon stack. Pre-orders opened globally this week. Shipments begin November 4 in the US, November 11 in India.
Nvidia RTX Spark N1X laptops are live: $3,199.99 HP OmniBook Ultra 16, 6,144 CUDA cores, 80W TDP, Arm-only games
The RTX Spark N1X isn’t a gaming GPU — it’s an AI-first SoC with gaming as a bonus feature. Here’s what it actually does, and what it costs.
