Dell’s XPS 16 Creator Edition is now available for pre-order in the US at $3,799.99 — the first RTX Spark laptop to go live with customers. Units ship October 16. Dell hasn’t confirmed when orders will open on its own website, nor has it shared pricing for higher configurations or markets outside the US. The base model packs an 18-core Nvidia N1X chip with 5,120 GPU cores, 32 GB of unified LPDDR5X memory, and a 512 GB PCIe SSD. That unified memory architecture means CPU and GPU draw from the same pool, a design Nvidia says helps move massive datasets between processing units without copying, though this configuration caps that pool at 32 GB. The RTX Spark platform itself supports up to 20 CPU cores, 6,144 GPU cores, and 128 GB of unified memory. Specs Dell hasn’t yet offered in this model. The display is a 16-inch 3.2K Tandem OLED touchscreen (3,200 × 2,000), rated for HDR True Black 600, full DCI-P3 coverage, Delta E under 2, and Pantone Verified color accuracy. It’s 17.8 mm thick and weighs 2.02 kg, heavier than Asus’s ProArt P16 (1.77 kg), which launched this week with a higher-resolution 3,840 × 2,400 OLED panel and up to 1,600 nits HDR brightness. Asus’s entry-level ProArt P16 starts at $2,799.99. $1,000 less than Dell’s offering. Microsoft also entered the space October 8 with its Surface Laptop Ultra, also built on RTX Spark. Dell’s machine includes three USB4 ports with DisplayPort 2.1 and Power Delivery, HDMI 2.1b, a full-size SDXC v7.1 card reader, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and a 99 Wh battery beneath a CNC-machined aluminum chassis. No Indian or UK pricing has been announced.
