Mechrevo is preparing a compact desktop designed explicitly for local artificial intelligence inference. Dubbed the Master Road X10, the mini PC pairs Nvidia's RTX Spark hardware platform with proprietary storage technology aimed at bypassing typical desktop memory bottlenecks.

Nvidia's RTX Spark foundation combines an Arm-based Grace central processor carrying 20 cores with a Blackwell graphics chip that scales up to 6,144 CUDA cores. The architecture supports a ceiling of 128GB of unified LPDDR5X memory across the processor and graphics components. Mechrevo has not confirmed whether the Master Road X10 will ship with that maximum memory configuration, but the platform's core pitch centers on running large models without rack-mounted enterprise hardware.

Offloading weights to flash

The central differentiator on the Master Road X10 is Mechrevo's proprietary storage architecture, branded as an AI SSD. Running large models locally typically requires keeping the entire weight matrix in high-speed unified memory or video RAM. When a model exceeds available capacity, inference usually fails outright or grinds to an unusable halt.

Mechrevo claims its setup circumvents those walls by actively paging sections of deep learning architectures from system DRAM down to NAND flash. The drive also caches and retains earlier context windows, which the company says reduces redundant calculations when generating responses across continuous sessions.

According to Mechrevo, the technique allows the small computer to execute models spanning 80 billion, 120 billion and 122 billion parameters without stalling interactive responsiveness. The brand previously demonstrated aspects of the concept in September, where it asserted the drive setup could multiply supported model sizes by up to 5.7 times and shorten the prompt prefill stage by up to 95 percent.

Lab trials on Mechrevo's Yaoshi 15 Air laptop supposedly delivered a two-fold boost in inference throughput, according to figures shared during that initial presentation.

Unanswered benchmarks and missing launch details

Those numbers come with major caveats. Flash storage remains orders of magnitude slower than LPDDR5X unified memory in both raw transfer rates and random access latencies. Fitting hundreds of billions of parameters onto an SSD does not guarantee that token generation speeds will remain practical for daily workflows.

Mechrevo has also omitted crucial technical details. The company has published no standardized benchmarks, quantization formats, or batch sizes to back up its laboratory claims. Readers looking for concrete RTX Spark benchmarks will have to wait for third-party testing once units hit the retail channel.

The hardware maker has not shared an RTX Spark release date, retail pricing, port selection, or the precise capacity of the onboard AI drive for the Master Road X10. Those launch windows and international distribution plans will need to surface before anyone can evaluate whether flash paging makes practical sense for local AI workstations.
