OneXPlayer is putting AMD's top-tier Ryzen AI MAX+ 495 processor into a tablet chassis. The newly announced Super X Pro builds on the brand's portable 2-in-1 lineup, cramming workstation-tier silicon, up to 192GB of unified memory, and an optional external liquid cooler into a Windows machine meant to run off a kickstand.
That hardware choice puts the Super X Pro into unusual territory. The AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 495 SoC replaces the older AI MAX+ 395, bringing faster clocks to its integrated Radeon 8065S graphics. To keep pace with massive local computing workloads, OneXPlayer has wired the chip to LPDDR5X memory running at 8533 MT/s. That configuration delivers up to 273 GB/s of bandwidth. For machine learning developers, owners can allocate up to 160GB of that memory pool straight to the GPU as video RAM. OneXPlayer claims the setup can run local AI models with up to 300 billion parameters without offloading work to remote cloud clusters.
Detachable Liquid Cooling and 120W Modes
Taming a workstation-grade processor inside a flat slate requires more than thin copper pipes. Internally, the Super X Pro relies on two air-intake fans to keep air moving across the motherboard. When pushed to its ceiling, the slate connects to an optional external liquid cooling dock called the Frost Bay.
Connecting the liquid loop uncaps the hardware to run at up to 120W. The Frost Bay unit attaches directly to the chassis, though buyers will have to purchase it as a separate accessory.
The screen matches the performance focus. OneXPlayer fitted the machine with a 2.8K AMOLED panel running at a 2880 x 1800 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It includes support for high dynamic range content alongside variable refresh rate to keep frame output smooth. The chassis itself is carved from CNC-machined metal, featuring an integrated rear kickstand that hinges out to 173 degrees for tabletop work or stylus input.
Storage expansion does not take shortcuts either. The slate houses a full-length M.2 2280 slot wired for PCIe Gen4 speeds. Alongside that standard bay sits a proprietary Mini SSD expansion slot developed in partnership with BIWIN. Battery capacity sits at 85.58Wh, fed by an included 240W gallium nitride charger.
OneXPlayer has not revealed official retail pricing for the Super X Pro, confirming only that it will be available soon. Hardware outlet Wccftech estimates the machine could fetch between $6,500 and $7,500 when configurations go live, judging by existing systems carrying the Ryzen AI MAX+ 495 silicon.
