Samsung Galaxy Buds On launch at $229 in the US, Rs 19,990 in India — first clip-on earbuds from the company, no in-ear fit, no ANC, IP54-rated for workouts. They’re on sale now globally, with Indian pricing confirmed by Samsung’s local retail partners and listed on Flipkart and Amazon India as Rs 19,990.

The US price is $229, same market as SamMobile’s reporting, and matches the Galaxy Buds4 Pro’s original MSRP, though $20 less than that model’s launch tag. No UK or EU pricing appears in the source material. The earbuds weigh 6.65 grams each, ship only in black, and use a curved band design that wraps around the outer ear, speaker near the canal, battery section behind the ear.

No silicone tips. No left/right assignment: either bud works on either side and auto-detects orientation. Charging case supports USB-C and wireless charging. Same form factor as recent Galaxy Buds cases.

Battery claims: up to 9.5 hours per charge, 38 hours total with case. IP54 rating means sweat- and splash-resistant, not swim-proof, not dust-sealed. No active noise cancellation. Intentional open-ear design prioritizes situational awareness over isolation.

TwinBoost 11.3mm drivers aim for bass response despite lack of seal. Audio Leakage Reduction tech tries to keep sound from spilling outward, critical for public use. Auto Volume adjusts playback level based on ambient noise. Galaxy phone users get Quick Panel access to EQ, touch controls, Head Gestures (nod to answer, shake to reject calls), Quick Voice Memo (press-and-hold to record voice notes), and Gemini Live integration.

Three mics + voice-detection sensor per bud target call clarity in noisy environments, unverified in real-world use. These aren’t a replacement for Galaxy Buds4 Pro. They’re an alternative: for people who find in-ear buds uncomfortable over long sessions, or who need to stay aware of surroundings, office workers, cyclists, joggers, parents.

Comfort over silence. Awareness over immersion. Price reflects that trade-off. Samsung hasn’t announced a global rollout date beyond ‘now available’, but Indian retailers have live listings.

Next step: real-world endurance tests, mic performance under wind or traffic noise, and whether Audio Leakage Reduction actually stops strangers from hearing your playlist on the metro. That data won’t come from Hitechreports, we haven’t used them. It’ll come from reviewers logging hours, not minutes.
