Honor Magic 9 series launches globally this week — Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 arrives in Hong Kong on November 4, with India and the US still unconfirmed. The Magic 9 Pro Max is the only model confirmed to ship with Qualcomm’s new flagship chip. The base Magic 9 runs the older Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.
The Super Edition skips the top-tier SoC entirely. No pricing or availability has been announced for the US or India, only Hong Kong (November 4), Europe (January, including UK and France), and China (already launched). The Magic 9 Pro Max packs ARRI LogC3 video, 14 ARRI Looks, 4K/60fps CINEMA mode, and a dedicated H1 imaging chip.
Its 6.8-inch display sits atop an 8,800mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. The standard Magic 9 is smaller: 6.37 inches, 8,000mAh, Gen 5 chip, and a 55MP square selfie cam that toggles between 1:1, 16:9, and 9:16 framing. Rear cameras include dual 200MP sensors (main + telephoto) tuned by ARRI, plus a 50MP ultrawide.
