Xiaomi just put a slimmer 10,000mAh magnetic battery pack on sale in China. Priced at 399 yuan (about $60) on Xiaomi Youpin, the WPB1026S magnetic power bank delivers 45W over USB-C and snaps onto phones with Qi-style wireless charging.

Its main hook is its thickness. Or rather, the lack of it. At 13.2mm deep, the pack is roughly 6.6mm thinner and 43 grams lighter than Xiaomi's older 33W magnetic 10,000mAh unit. The whole thing weighs 195 grams and measures 102 by 70.5 millimeters across. That footprint puts it squarely in pocket territory alongside a smartphone.

Higher Density Cells

To shave off that bulk, Xiaomi swapped conventional lithium-ion chemistry for silicon-carbon anode cells. The pack houses two 5,000mAh cells featuring a 16 percent silicon ratio, pushing energy density up to 840Wh/L. Xiaomi claims the switch cuts volume by roughly 35 percent compared to the older 33W model.

The casing uses an aluminum alloy shell finished in matte silver-white or dark gray. Inside, an NTC temperature monitor works with thermal silicone and a graphene dissipation layer to keep heat down during fast charge cycles.

On the power front, the single USB-C port handles 45W of wired output, allowing it to charge small laptops, tablets, and phones. Recharging the battery itself runs at up to 30W over the same port. Xiaomi added support for USB Power Delivery 3.0 with PPS, alongside Quick Charge 3.0 and legacy Apple 2.4A profiles.

Wireless Speeds and Diagnostics

Wireless charging rates depend heavily on what you stick to it. The magnetic pad pushes up to 20W to compatible Xiaomi handsets, including the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 17 series. If you slap an iPhone on it, wireless output drops to the standard 7.5W Qi cap.

You can also run wired and wireless charging at the same time. Doing so splits resources, capping total combined output across both connected devices to 15W.

There is also an uncommon diagnostic feature built into the USB controller. Plugging the battery into a PC over USB-C lets users read out internal telemetry directly. That includes live battery temperature, cell voltages, operating states, manufacturing logs, and abnormal event histories. It gives hardware tinkerers an unusually clean look at cell health over time.

The accessory conforms to China's GB 47372-2026 safety standard and falls safely below the 100Wh commercial airline limit for carry-on luggage. Xiaomi has not announced international pricing or rollout plans for markets like India or the US yet, leaving the WPB1026S exclusive to Youpin for now.
