Edifier is targeting desk-bound gamers with the Hecate G2000 Bar, a compact soundbar built to sit right below a monitor. The unit has appeared on China's JD.com platform, where pre-orders list an introductory price of 349 yuan ($52) ahead of its October 16 retail debut. Once the early promotion ends, the regular price climbs to 387 yuan ($58).

Putting open speakers on a desk usually turns multiplayer voice lobbies into an echoing mess. Edifier tries to tackle that headache with a detachable boom mic plugged directly into the bar. The mic works alongside AEC 2.0 acoustic echo cancellation, an independent DSP chip, and AI processing to suppress background noise while actively stripping driver playback out of voice channels. The pitch is simple: you can banter with teammates without clamping a headset over your ears.

Acoustics rely on a four-part driver array. Edifier packed two 56mm full-range units utilizing copper-clad aluminum wire voice coils, paired with two 60mm passive radiators meant to firm up the low end. Total continuous output sits at 6W (3W across each channel), stretching to a 12W peak. Frequency response spans 67Hz to 20kHz. To stop audio from bouncing flat off desk mats, the chassis incorporates a fixed five-degree upward slant pointed straight at the listener.

Gaming features continue into the processing. The soundbar includes THX 7.1.4 virtual spatial audio to simulate surround positioning, alongside six audio presets tuned specifically for genres like racing titles, shooters, and role-playing games. The exterior leans into sharp, mecha-inspired styling in either black or white. Edifier bundles five alternate decorative stickers for the front panel and wires in 12 RGB lighting effects, which owners can adjust through the Edifier Connect phone app or desktop Hecate software.

Connectivity covers both a wired USB sound card mode and Bluetooth 6.0 for linking phones, tablets, or consoles. Power does not draw over USB bus power. The system relies on an external 9V DC wall adapter to ensure stable output levels. A metallic panel across the top holds physical clickers for volume adjustments, mic mutes, and quick mode changes.

Edifier has not yet indicated whether the Hecate G2000 Bar will arrive in Western markets or India.
