Checking whether a broken screen or failing battery is still covered on a Samsung Galaxy device used to mean digging through separate utility apps or pulling up support web pages. Samsung is moving that entire process into the core software with One UI 9, introducing a dedicated menu that tracks coverage terms, hardware health, and service requests in one place.

On devices running the updated interface, the information sits under Settings > Warranty and care. The panel displays the active coverage type and the exact expiration date for the hardware in your hands. If you keep multiple Galaxy gadgets tied to the same Samsung account, the section lists their status there as well, saving the hassle of switching between devices just to look up purchase terms.

Built-in diagnostics and repair tools

Beyond basic dates, the new menu doubles as a maintenance hub. It integrates hardware diagnostic checks for components like the battery, charging ports, display panel, cameras, and onboard sensors. If an automated check flags a failure, users can initiate repair requests straight from the interface. Samsung also linked Bixby to the screen for guided troubleshooting if software adjustments can resolve the malfunction.

Owners with phones or tablets running older software releases cannot use the integrated Settings toggle, but Samsung's existing avenues remain open. The pre-installed Samsung Members app acts as the primary hub for legacy hardware, available via the Galaxy Store or Google Play Store if it was previously removed.

Inside Samsung Members, signing in and navigating to the Support tab (labelled Get help on older builds) lets users register their device and view support utilities. Depending on your region, the hardware model, and the application release, the tab can pull up active coverage details directly.

When software menus fail to return the right dates, Samsung's online device portal serves as the definitive fallback. Logging into your Samsung account on the web exposes registered hardware under My Products. Unregistered devices can be added manually by typing in the serial number or IMEI, which are catalogued under Settings > About phone or About tablet on the hardware.

Receipt mismatches occasionally produce incorrect expiration records on Samsung's servers. When an active plan shows an earlier expiration than it should, the web portal provides a Review Warranty or warranty dispute path. Uploading original proof of purchase through that form prompts Samsung support staff to adjust the registered service timeline.
